Learn how to select, customize, and manage Responsorial Psalms and Alleluias in the Source & Summit Digital Platform.
The information in this article applies to all Source & Summit customers.
When you create an Ordo, Source & Summit provides by default the unique parts of the liturgy that are provided in the Roman Missal, Lectionary, and (often) the Graduale Romanum.
Following the plan of the US Lectionary for Mass, Ordos include Responsorial Psalm and Alleluia sections for every liturgy.
Together with the processional propers (Entrance Chant, Offertory Chant, Communion Chant), the Responsorial Psalm and Alleluia form part of the “sung propers of the Mass”, all found under the Proper section type in your Ordo Outline.

FAQ
How can I view stacked Responsorial Psalm verses in a Psalm setting?
While the Digital Platform doesn’t currently support stacked verses in musical engravings, we hope to offer this ability in the future. Stay tuned for system updates!
In the meantime, we encourage you to try out the pointed text format. This saves space in choir and accompaniment packets, while encouraging singers to focus more on the natural rhythm and phrasing of the text rather than on reading notes.
