Why can't I find the Mass I need?

When you can’t find the liturgy you’re looking for when you are creating an Ordo, try these steps to troubleshoot the problem.

Sundays and major feasts

If you can’t find a Mass for a Sunday or a special feast on the liturgical calendar, try the Calendar, Search, and Date Override functions in the Create Ordo flow.  

Next steps:

1. Go to your dashboard.

2. Click + Create Ordo.

3. Click the Search Liturgies    menu and type the feast name.

4. If you still can’t find the liturgy, select the liturgy date from the calendar search   .

On some occasions, you may celebrate a feast on a different date than the one listed in the liturgical calendar—often for patronal feast days. In these cases it can make it more difficult to find the Mass you are looking for. Use the Date Override function to generate an Ordo with the correct texts:

1. From the calendar search   , select the typical date of the feast that you will be celebrating.

   For example, if you are the Parish of Saint Anthony and will celebrate his feast day on the following Sunday, select his feast day: June 13.

2. Click Date Override and select the date you will celebrate the feast.

3. Click Create Ordo.

   → An Ordo will populate with the selected feast and custom date.

Ritual Masses

If you’re preparing an Ordo that’s not tied to a particular date, such as a wedding or funeral Mass, browse the Other Masses menu.

Next Steps:

1. Click the Search Liturgies    menu.

2. Select Other Masses from the dropdown menu.

3. Select the Mass type menu: Ritual Masses, Votive Masses, Masses for the Dead, Masses for Various Needs & Occasions, or Mass for the Holy Year.

4. Select a Mass.
