What is an Ordo?

From the Latin word for “Order”, the term “ordo” comes from the Church's earliest liturgical books that contained all elements, directions, and the order of particular liturgical celebrations.

In Source & Summit, an Ordo is a selection of prayers, readings, and/or music prepared for a specific liturgical celebration or event.
