Learn how to customize the tone and verse display for Antiphons, Responsorial Psalms, and Alleluias in the Source & Summit Digital Platform.
The information in this article applies to all Source & Summit customers.
Accessing verse customization settings
In your Outline, select a Proper section.
Select an antiphon text on the selected Proper section in the center canvas.
→ The right panel will open with customization settings.Choose a musical setting from the right panel.
→ The music will display in the center canvas.
Antiphon verse customization
In the Digital Platform, you can customize both the tone and visual display of antiphon verses.
From the Ordo Editor
Use the Ordo Editor to customize the format, number, and length of verses.
Select an Entrance Chant, Offertory Chant, or Communion Chant in the left panel.
→ The right panel will open with customization settings.
In the right panel under Verses, configure the display options:
Select Point, Notate, or Text to change verse notation.
Use the + or - buttons to add or remove verses.
Choose Grouped or 2-Line settings to adjust the verse length.
Click Additional Antiphon Text for the complete antiphon as it appears in the Roman Missal or Graduale Romanum.
Click Glory Be to add it as the final verse.
Select the Psalm Tone to set the verses to a different tone. Alternate tone options will appear in the same mode as the antiphon.
Pro Tip
If you have preferred verse settings, apply them in your templates to save time in your liturgy preparation process.
From the Resource Editor
Use the Resource Editor to format views for different groups.
Open the Resource Editor from your Ordo.
Click Outline in the left panel and select an Entrance Chant, Offertory Chant, or Communion Chant.
→ The right panel will open with customization settings.
In the right panel under Verses, you’ll find verse configuration settings:
Click Show or Hide to change verse visibility.
Select Point, Notate, or Text to change verse notation.
Choose 1 Column or 2 Columns for text layout.

Responsorial Psalms and Alleluias
Like the Processional Propers, you can also change the verse tone and the visual display of Responsorial Psalm verses.
Verse number or length, however, is not customizable for Responsorial Psalms and Alleluias, as they are proper texts from the Lectionary that may not be omitted from the liturgy.
From the Ordo Editor
Use the Ordo Editor to manage verse notation formats for Responsorial Psalms and Alleluias.
Select a Responsorial Psalm or Alleluia in the left panel.
→ The right panel will open with customization settings.
In the right panel under Verses, you’ll find verse notation settings:
Select Point, Notate, or Text to change verse notation.
Select the Psalm Tone to change it. Alternate tones will appear in the same mode as the response.
From the Resource Editor
In the Resource Editor, customize the verse display for different groups in congregational booklets and music packets.
Open the Resource Editor from your Ordo.
Click Outline in the left panel and select a Responsorial Psalm or Alleluia.
→ The right panel will open with customization settings.
In the right panel under Verses, you’ll find verse configuration settings:
Click Show or Hide to customize the view.
Select Point, Notate, or Text to change verse notation.
Select 1 Column or 2 Columns for text layout.
