Accessing Accompaniments

Prev Next

The information in this article applies to all Source & Summit customers.

There are two different ways to access accompaniments for music in Source & Summit products: with printed Accompaniment Books and on the Digital Platform. While both options are available for subscribers, the Digital Platform offers several features that are not available in the printed books.

Using both methods can help you to maximize all the benefits available to you through your subscription.

How to find accompaniments on the Digital Platform

Use the accompaniment toggle in the Ordo Editor and Resource Editor to access accompaniments and SATB settings for each musical selection. Follow these steps to locate this feature in your Ordo:

  1. Create an Ordo or open a past Ordo from your home dashboard.

  2. Select an antiphon, Psalm, or hymn in your Outline or Center Panel.

The Right Panel will open and display available settings.

  3. In the Right Panel, look for the Accompaniment toggle under the “Key” section.

Click the toggle to display the accompaniment for that music selection.

  4. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each piece of music in your Outline.

Pro Tip

To apply accompaniments to all of the music selections in your Ordo at once, use the Roles feature. Visit Using Roles to learn more.

Printed accompaniment books

Use Source & Summit’s printed accompaniment books for ready-to-use accompaniments that pair with your printed missal.

Printed Accompaniment / Choir Editions for the Source & Summit Missal are available in the following formats:

  • Mass Settings & Hymns: 3-hole punched packet

Note: Hymns are available for Standard Edition subscribers only

  • Responsorial Psalms and Alleluias: Perfect-bound or spiral-bound book

  • Entrance, Offertory, and Communion Antiphons: Perfect-bound or spiral-bound book

One set of all three volumes is available for free with every missal subscription (orders above 50 missals). Additional copies are available for purchase in the Source & Summit Store.

Note

Printed accompaniment books contain all the music you need to support your missal program, but the Digital Platform allows you to customize your accompaniments by changing keys, adding or removing verses, modifying score formats and more.

FAQ

Am I eligible for free printed accompaniment books?

All missal subscribers (50+ copies) can claim one free set of accompaniment books each year. If you’ve already placed your renewal for the year, you can claim your free set here: Claim Your Free Accompaniment Editions.

How do I claim my free accompaniment books?

Accompaniment books are not automatically included with your missal order—they must be claimed separately.

Once your missal order or renewal is complete, you will see a landing page containing a link to your invoice. On that same page, there will be a link to Claim Your Free Accompaniment Books. Click the link and follow the instructions to choose your accompaniment books and specify your binding preferences.

If you’ve already renewed but didn’t claim your books, don’t worry! Contact our support team and we will send you a direct link so you can claim your books.

How do I order more accompaniment books?

If you’d like more than one set of accompaniment books, you can purchase additional copies in the Source & Summit Store.

Are choir editions available?

Yes! Accompaniments are written in SATB format, which can be used by choirs and instrumentalists alike.
