# Mass Settings

Learn how to select and customize Mass Settings in the Source & Summit Digital Platform.

## **What is a Mass Setting?**

A Mass Setting is a musical arrangement of Mass texts, principally containing the parts of the Mass Ordinary (Kyrie, Gloria, Creed, Sanctus, Agnus Dei). Many Mass Settings also include parts of the Order of Mass (Sprinkling Rite, Mystery of Faith, Doxology and Amen, Lord’s Prayer, or the Dismissal).

In Source & Summit, you will find Mass Setting options for the following sections:

*Mass Ordinary*

- **Kyrie**
- **Gloria**
- **Sanctus**
- **Lord’s Prayer**
- **Agnus Dei**

*Order of Mass*

- **Mystery of Faith**
- **Doxology and Amen**

> If you regularly use a specific Mass Setting, create a template with the Mass Setting sections selected for faster preparation. Visit [**Using Templates**](/v1/docs/using-templates) to learn more.

## **Accessing Mass Settings**

1. [Create an Ordo](/v1/docs/how-to-create-an-ordo).
2. Select one of the **sections listed above** from your Outline.

→ The right panel will display your library of Mass Settings, including collections and upload options.
3. Select a **Mass Setting** option from the right panel.

→ The music will display in the center canvas.
4. Explore other options (optional).

Click **Reset** at the top-right corner of the right panel to clear your current selection. Or, click **Browse** to see other Mass Setting options.
5. Repeat steps 1–4 for each section you want to include.

### FAQ

#### How do I apply a Mass Setting to my entire Ordo?

Currently, Mass Settings can only be applied per section in the Ordo Editor. But you can save your preferred settings, including Mass Settings, in a template.

#### Why can’t I find the Doxology and Amen on my Outline?

While the Doxology and Amen are not included in the Ordinary of Mass, some Mass Settings include musical settings for these texts. Here’s how to add the Doxology and Amen to your Outline:

1. Click **+** in the right panel.
2. Hover over **Order of Mass**.
3. Select **Doxology and Amen**.

→ Your selection will appear in its proper place in your Outline.
