# Configuring hymn verses

Learn how to customize verse display and formatting for hymns in the Source & Summit Digital Platform.

## **Accessing verse customization settings**

1. [Create an Ordo](/v1/docs/how-to-create-an-ordo).
2. Select a **Hymn** section from the center canvas or the left panel.

→ The right panel will open with customization settings.
3. Choose a **musical setting** from the right panel.

→ The music will display in the center canvas.

## **Hymn verse customization**

Use the Ordo Editor to select which verses you’d like to sing. Use the Resource Editor to adjust how verses appear in congregational booklets and music packets.

#### **From the Ordo Editor**

1. Select a **Hymn** in the center canvas or left panel.
2. In the right panel under **Verses,** select which verses to display. Other verses will be automatically renumbered.

#### **From the Resource Editor**

Use the Resource Editor to adjust how verses appear in congregational booklets and music packets.

1. [Open the Resource Editor](/v1/docs/creating-booklets-and-music-packets#accessing-the-resource-editor) from your Ordo.
2. Click **Outline** in the left panel and select a **Hymn.**
3. In the right panel under **Verses,** configure the display options:

- Click the **+** or **-** buttons to change verses to text-only display.
- Choose **1 Column** or **2 Columns** for text layout.
